Recycling Carts in Mansfield

The City of Mansfield, through Republic Services, uses 95 gallon roll out carts for its residential curbside recycling program. New residents who do not have a cart at the property should use the form to request a cart be delivered. Be sure to check the box that there is no cart at your property. Please place all recyclable materials in your cart and roll it to the curb on your regular recycling day and make sure the lid is facing the street. If you have a question about which day your recyclables are collected, please check the map or see the holiday pickup schedule. If you need to check what can go in the cart, see the FAQs on this webpage or check the lid of your cart.

Residents may request a smaller 65 gallon cart here, by calling Howard Redfearn at 817-276-4240, or by emailing [email protected]. If you have requested an exchange, you may still use the larger cart until your exchange has been completed. Residents who have requested an exchange can take their current cart to the curb on their normally scheduled day for recycling collection. Once the containers have been emptied, a vehicle will come through the neighborhoods to collect the larger carts and exchange them for the smaller ones, for those households that have requested an exchange. If you have requested an exchange, you may still use the larger cart until your exchange has been completed.

You can check the size of the cart by looking at the serial number on the side. If it starts with a 6 it is the 65 gallon size, a 9 is the 95 gallon size.

Please make sure to place the cart away from all obstructions (mailboxes, parked cars, etc). Remember to place only accepted recyclable materials in the cart and to place it out on the curb on your designated recycling collection day. These carts can not be used on your regular trash day or for any other purpose than recycling. Republic Services will leave a note identifying any problems with your cart.

It is likely that over time your recycling cart will begin to have an unpleasant odor. Simply wash the cart with a water hose when this begins to happen. It is OK to use a small amount of soap, provided the soap is rinsed from the cart. It is recommended this be done after the cart has been emptied so that it will be dry when you start to use it again.
